Hi, my name is Moi. Percussion has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I graduated in History at University and have a PGCE . I have worked as a Support Worker, a Behaviour Support Therapist in Higher Education, a Social Prescriber at a Specialised Autism Team within the NHS and a Disability Adviser at the University of Bath. In these inclusive drumming workshops, I intend to bring my experience in Education, social care and group facilitation, with a music oriented focus to explore communication, creativity, connectivity and expression; hopefully providing a safe space where participants can experiment, interact with others and have fun.

The benefits of inclusive drumming

Drumming is a truly holistic approach that has been proven to decrease social barriers while promoting freedom of expression. Clinical studies have proven that drumming has calming, focusing, and healing effects on children and adults with ASC, ADHD or mental health and emotional difficulties. Drumming has also proven beneficial in the treatment of many medical conditions such as stress, fatigue and anxiety. Inclusive drumming can help neurodivergent individuals and those with learning difficulties to improve their wellbeing and executive function.
